Getting started

Can I trade crypto on my phone?

Yes, and most people do. There are three routes: a native trading app, a mobile wallet with a built-in browser, or a responsive web terminal in a mobile browser. All three work for buying and selling. Where a phone genuinely costs you is screen area for reading token stats and speed for anything time-sensitive.

The three routes

  • Native app. Smoothest funding and notifications, and you are inside whatever the app supports.
  • Mobile wallet browser. A wallet app with a built-in browser reaches any onchain site with signing already wired up.
  • Mobile web. A responsive terminal in your normal browser. No install, and it depends on the site being genuinely built for a small screen.

What a phone actually costs you

  • Reading room. Liquidity, market cap, holder concentration and a chart do not fit on one screen, so checks get skipped.
  • Latency. Typing and confirming on a phone is slower, and on a moving token that is a real cost.
  • Impulse. A trading app on the home screen is available at every weak moment. This is the underrated one.
