Tokens & buying

Can I buy PUNCH with Apple Pay or a debit card?

Not directly. A liquidity pool has no card reader: onchain, PUNCH is only ever bought by swapping another token for it. What Apple Pay and debit cards actually do is buy you SOL at a fiat on-ramp, and the memecoin purchase is a second, separate step from a wallet.

The two steps people think are one

  1. Fiat to crypto. A regulated on-ramp takes your card or Apple Pay, runs identity checks, and sends SOL to your wallet. This is where the payment method matters.
  2. Crypto to token. A swap against a liquidity pool, signed by your wallet. No payment method exists at this layer at all.

Consumer apps hide the seam by doing both for you, which is why it feels like buying a memecoin with a card. Underneath it is always these two steps, and knowing that explains every fee and every delay you will encounter.

What it costs

  • On-ramp fee. Card purchases of crypto typically carry the highest fees of any funding route, and the spread is often larger than the stated percentage.
  • Identity verification. Card and Apple Pay routes are regulated, so expect ID checks and limits on a new account.
  • Then the swap. Slippage and price impact on the token itself, which on a thin memecoin is usually the larger cost of the two.

Where FOMOSCAN sits

FOMOSCAN is the second step only. It is a Solana terminal you fund with SOL and trade from a wallet you control; it does not take card payments and never touches fiat. If you need the first step, use a regulated on-ramp or a consumer app that bundles one, then bring the SOL here.
