Copytrading
What is social trading in crypto?
Social trading is trading with other people's positions visible - a feed of what real wallets are buying and selling, usually with the trader's own reasoning attached. Copy trading is the automated end of it. Social trading is the part where you read the flow, form a view, and decide for yourself.
Why onchain changes it
On a traditional platform, social trading is a claim: someone says they bought. Onchain, the position is a public fact before anyone announces it. That removes the oldest problem in trading communities, which is people posting their winners and quietly not posting the rest.
What a good social feed gives you
- Timing. Seeing five unrelated wallets enter the same token inside ten minutes is information that no single chart shows.
- Context. A trader's own note on why they bought is the difference between a ticker and a thesis.
- Calibration. Watching a trader you respect take a loss teaches more about sizing than any guide.
What it also gives you
Crowding. A visible position is a position other people can trade against, and a token that fills a social feed is a token whose early entrants now have an audience to sell into. Treat a feed as a source of candidates, not a source of conviction.
